Kerry-based health technology company Salaso plans to create 20 new jobs. The roles will be in software development, data analytics, research and development, as well as digital marketing and sales.
Salaso’s digital therapeutics platform enables clinics, hospitals and health systems to build a digital channel for their services. The platform delivers data on patient wellness, as well as key insights to enable digital transformation in healthcare delivery.
The company has an experienced core clinical team comprised of people with expertise in fields from exercise, sports medicine and physiology to cardiac rehab and orthopaedic surgery.
Salaso has an online exercise library supporting rehabilitation and therapy across a wide range of clinical areas. Its main platforms are Salaso Health, Salaso Fit and Salaso Triage.
The Kerry company recently scooped the ‘SME Most Innovative Product Award’ at the Irish Health Technology Innovation Awards held last December.
The company has announced its hiring news having secured investment from the Davy EIIS Fund. The fund is managed by BES Management DAC, a joint venture between BDO and Davy.
CEO and founder of Salaso Aoife Ní Mhuirí said the investment will allow Salaso to grow its expanding international client base.
“This is a very exciting time for Salaso, as we grow our client base and continue to evolve and develop our cutting-edge digital therapeutics platform.
“Our team is highly skilled both in technology and delivering innovative evidence-based clinical solutions. This investment will enable Salaso to continue to expand the team and to grow internationally with a particular focus on the US market,” Ní Mhuirí added.

Salaso’s clients include Northwell Health and Novartis. As well as its Kerry location, it has a sales office in the US.
The company has been an employer in Kerry since its founding in 2011. In 2020, it was on the lookout for a software engineer.
